JCM
“In Memory of Jon Hiseman” Tour
CLEM CLEMPSON (Guitar)
MARK CLARKE (Bass)
RALPH SALMINS (Drums)
In the last year of his life, Jon Hiseman formed JCM, a trio with the Colosseummembers Clem Clempson, on guitar, and Mark Clarke, on bass. The group made an album, “Heroes,” that contained music written by former collaborators Hiseman had outlived, among them Jack Bruce, Allan Holdsworth, Dick Heckstall-Smith, andGraham Bond. Ironically, the album will become a tribute to Hiseman himself.
JCM began a tour in 2018, but cancelled it as Jon Hiseman’s brain tumour advanced. Clem and Mark would like to announce that in alignment with Jon’s wishes, JCM is movin’ on with Ralph Salmins on the drums.
Clem Clempson was the vocalist and guitarist with Colosseum, along with Jon Hiseman and Mark Clarke. He later joined Steve Marriott in Humble Pie. Clem has also worked alongside Jack Bruce, Cozy Powell, Stephen Stills, Roger Chapman, Billy Cobham, Jon Anderson, Roger Daltrey, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, Aaron Neville, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, B.B. King and more.
Mark Clarke joined Colosseum in the late 1960’s. After they split in 1971 he became a member of Uriah Heep. He later was a member of Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, Mountain, The Monkees and the Billy Squier group before re-joining Colosseum.
Ralph Salmins has performed alongside Paul McCartney, Aretha Franklin, Elton John, Madonna, James Brown, Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick, Quincy Jones, Wynton Marsalis, Diana Ross, and Van Morrison.
