The 100 Club Presents
THE RAMONAS
+ Werecats
As the name suggests THE RAMONAS are an all female tribute to the iconic New York Punk Rock band Ramones.
Originally conceived back in 2004 with multiple different lineups, The Ramonas have evolved into a fully fledged, razor sharp live band in their own right! Touring, Touring is never boring and these girls are guaranteed to play high energy, full throttle one hour shows that’ll leave you buzzing for more of that 1976 spirit. These four lovable cretins rarely even stop for a quick sip of water and a hello…. It’s 1234 and they’re onto the next hit, and the great thing is that they do it all in their own unique way…. wherever they play, from the UK to Europe to the USA!
Some say playing the Ramones tunes is easy, but capturing the vibe and essence of such a well loved band mixed with the required speed, stamina and endurance is no mean feat.. Cloey, Pee Pee, Rohnny & Cammy are definitely here to stay! Gabba Gabba HEY!!!
Since 2016 the girls have also been releasing their own original material.
The follow-up to The Ramonas’ 2016 debut original release ‘You Asked for It’ (EP) is out now.
‘First World Problems’ blends raw, dirty punk riffs with melodic vocal/guitar lines alongside punk screams and a good helping of gang vocals.
With 14 blistering tracks lasting less than 30 minutes there’s no room for fillers on this loud, fast and powerful debut, which also includes an appearance from punk legend Charlie Harper on harmonica.
WERECATS
Four friends formed a circle at midnight and threw their favourite things in the middle to see what would happen. The smoke cleared, and they sat down to build something new out of what was left. They wrapped melodies round spiky lumps of noise, then weaved round them tales of joy and confusion, laughter and fear, people gone bad and the dead come good. They stacked them in their dear van and brought them blinking in to the sunlight. And so here we are, we offer you our songs played with gusto, and not a little cider. We’ve been in The Pukes, The Murderburgers,The Blankheads and Soon The Darkness. We dance with dogs and pogo with zombies, come join us!
