Formed from the ashes of Rema-Rema and Mass in the early 1980s, The Wolfgang Press became one of 4AD’s longest-running post-punk groups. Led by Michael Allen and Andrew Gray, their sound moved from industrial-tinged post-punk into funkier avant-dance territory before returning with A 2nd Shape on Downwards.
