Nepal’s metal powerhouse Underside brings their explosive live concert to The 100 Club, London on 21 June. Don’t miss this high-energy show from one of Asia’s leading heavy acts – tickets available now. With support from King Street.

Underside is a trailblazing metal band from Kathmandu, Nepal, known for fusing retro rock and old-school thrash influences into a modern, aggressive sound. Formed in 2010 by vocalist Avishek K.C. and guitarist Bikrant Shrestha, the band emerged as a response to Nepal’s socio-political challenges, channeling their experiences into powerful music.

Their debut EP, Welcome to the Underside (2014), received international acclaim and featured production by Arkadiusz Malczewski, renowned for his work with Behemoth and Decapitated. Underside has since performed at major festivals, including Download Festival in the UK and NH7 Weekender in India, and has shared stages with acts like Vader, Behemoth, and SikTh.

Beyond music, the band is committed to social activism through their initiative, Metal for Nepal, which addresses issues like poverty and education. Their 2023 single “Prey” critiques harmful societal practices in Nepal, reflecting their dedication to using music as a platform for change.

Underside continues to push boundaries, representing Nepal on the global metal stage with their dynamic sound and unwavering message.
