January Blues Festival are proud to present, direct from Chicago, three of the finest blues musicians from the Windy City. 

Billy Branch has been touring with his band The Sons of Blues since the 1970’s and has appeared with Willie Dixon, Taj Mahal, Johnny Winter, Koko Taylor, Syl Johnson, Lou Rawls and more.

John Primer started his career backing Junor Wells in the 1970’s and subsequently has performed with Muddy Waters, The Rolling Stones, Magic Sam, Willie Dixon, James Cotton, Magic Slim and more.

Jamiah Rogers is a new guitar star from Chicago who has been inspired by Jimi Hendrix. His group The Jamiah Rogers Band are currently one of the hottest live band in the Midwest.

Bruce Katz hails from Baltimore and has performed alongside Big Mama Thornton, Barrence Whitfield & the Savages, Ronnie Earl & The Broadcasters, Duke Robillard, Joe Louis Walker, David ‘Fathead’ Newman, Gregg Allman, John Hammond and more.

Memphis Blues Music Award Winner Giles Robson is the first and only British blues artist to appear on Chicago’s legendary Alligator Records, the most famous and long running active blues label on the planet.
