Famous live shows are intense brash affairs. Alternating between the pathetic showmanship of Vegas-era Elvis and the controlled experimentations of post punk, the band has built a reputation as one of the best live acts on the London underground circuit. Supporting the the likes of Sports Team, Black Midi, Jockstrap, 404 and more, Famous have been a key actor in the past year in London’s band scene. More recently, they have supported Black Country, New Road on their full UK tour.
Their debut-EP came out last May on London label untitled (recs) to critical acclaim. There’s a distinctively hyperbolic, mythic re-imagination of urban life which lies at the heart of Famous’ vision. Drawing on themes of hyper-anxiety and intense boredom. In their own words, they refuse to let anything not be ‘a big deal’.
This is a reduced capacity seated gig. Tickets are sold in a table of two.
