The Haggis Horns have been at the forefront of the UK funk scene since they drew attention as a horn section on the legendary album “Keb Darge Presents The New Mastersounds. They went on to form their own full band in 2004 and have three highly acclaimed funk fuelled albums under their belt, “Hot Damn! , “Keep On Movin” (First Word Records) and recently released “What Comes To Mind” (Haggis Records) . They have been rocking crowds the world over for years winning fans with their distinctive northern funk sound combining ass-shaking break-beats, afrobeat, soul and hip-hop.
Members of Haggis Horns have performed with the likes of Jamiroquai, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Corinne Bailey Rae, Mark Ronson, Robbie Williams, Craig Charles’ Fantasy Funk Band to name a few!

CROWD COMPANY
A modern take on vintage soul funk from highly acclaimed 8 piece band Crowd Company. Brimming with energy , catchy hooks and tight grooves the band combine a Hammond organ based sound with a virtuoso horn section and 3 outstanding soulful singers, often blending multi-part harmonies.
The band’s album ‘Stone&Sky’ was released on the USA based Vintage League Music label, produced by Alan Evans (Soulive). The album has received rave reviews and Radio airplay across Europe (including BBC Radio 6’s Craig Charles) & the USA. The band have recorded a new album for release this Autumn. Expect lots of new songs from that album to be played on this night.

DJ PERRY LOUIS
DJ Perry Louis is a legend on the UK funk scene , one of the UK’s top funk and soul DJs. He is the founder of the world famous Jazz CoTech Dancers. Perry has DJ’d all over the UK and abroad. Perry has appeared onstage with Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, JTQ, Jon Hendricks, Tania Maria, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings amongst many others.
