Starring…
Ian Stone
Steve Gribbin
Don Biswas
Jen Ives

Hosted by Andrew O’Neill

Plus a special conversation with trade union leaders and ex-miners about the legacy of the Miners Strike 40 years on.

Join the Durham Miners Association at the famous 100 Club on London’s Oxford Street. All proceeds will go to the Marras – Friends of Durham Miners Gala.

The 1984-85 Miners Strike was a pivotal moment in modern British history. Within a decade of the end of the strike, every mine on the Durham coalfield had been closed. But the Durham Miners Gala has survived as a symbol of defiance and a beacon of hope. It is now the largest trade union event in Europe and a wonderful celebration of community and working class life.
